Fall Colors with my FABULOUS kiddo!

My favorite time of year came and went so quickly this year. It seemed like the leaves were on the ground before I could blink. We've been so blessed with gorgeous weather so I guess I figured the leaves would stick around for weeks. My yearly Fall shoot with my little girl was pretty quick this year...only shooting for about 5 minutes. But my oh my is she cute.

Insurance at last!

When Kenny & I decided that we were going to be small business owners, we knew that it may be a while before we were able to buy health insurance. After a long few years without insurance, we are so happy that this Friday.....we'll be covered again. What does this mean??? It means I can don't have to set up payments with the billing department every time we go to the doctor.....it means that we can explore further options in fertility......it means I can get a new nebulizer! So many things will be possible now, and my stress level will go down!
I'm so thankful that our businesses are up and running, a blessing indeed:)
Next goal....to pay off those student loans!

Getting Back to Reality

My favorite weekend of the year has come and gone. DAVE @ the Gorge. After going through what I did last year, I knew that I was going all three nights this year. Kenny & I got Cierra & Ali safe with my brother and made our way over to the Ellensburg KOA where we'd make home for 4 nights.
I can't describe how amazing a DMB concert is. I'm still in la la land and have no words. They are great artists and give a spectacular show. They won't be touring next year....so I'll have to wait a bit to see them again:(
But now back to reality. Back to school. Back to work.
This week I'll be completing my website which is finally up and running with its makeover! www.karladecampphotography.com
Working on my blog also........ www.karladecampphotoblog.com/blog
Back to the routine of taking Cierra to and from school.....watching little Ali during the day.....working out at Thrive...... Life is great!!

Little Ali

Last Thursday I took Ali in for her first examination & shots. The vet discovered a pretty severe heart murmur. She also felt she had one of two heart diseases. Ventricular Sectual Defect or Patent Ductus Arteriosus. Neither are good news. We are not really sure what will happen, or what can be done at this point....we just know we are going to take it day by day and give her all the love we have to give:) She is part of the family now.

American Idol Continued......

Cierra & I were so excited Friday morning for our annual mommy daughter day @ the American Idol concert. We were running a bit late, waiting for Kenny to get home from work to watch Ali.....but once we were on our way, we couldn't contain our excitement! Cierra wanted to play every car game in the book on our drive there. It was really cute, I love it when she gets this excited about something.
We arrived @ Key Arena at about 1:30p.m. By the time we parked, went to the restroom, & found where the tour buses were parked it was 1:50p.m. To my surprise there were only a few dozen people waiting, which was about a 1/4 of what the crowd was last year. 10 minutes after we arrived, 4 of the Idols came around the corner...sharpies in hand:)
Andrew Garcia~Lee Dewyze~Tim Urban~Aaron Kelly!!
Andrew & Lee sang to us all, and it was heaven!

Of course I was so happy because Lee was my favorite this year. Cierra's favorite was Big Mike & Aaron, so having Aaron come out was a HUGE deal for her!
Mom & Janel met us around 4:00 for dinner @ the food court, then it was off to the concert! (I have about 50 concert photos on my Facebook)
We had awesome seats, I LOVE the Key Arena....all the seats there are incredible! The sound is always amazing too. The concert did not disappoint either, we even loved Katie & Tim who we didn't care for too much during the competition. It always amazes me how well they all do LIVE, and how great they sound when they are not competing in front of judges.
After the concert we scurried out back to where they were doing autographs. All the Idols except for Crystal came out. (she wasn't feeling well)
I nearly cried when Big Mike came up to Cierra. Cierra asked him for a hug, an autograph, & a picture. He just scooped her up & gave her the biggest hug and just had a huge smile on his face the whole time.
Cierra's evening was now complete meeting her favorite Idol!

Our new baby Ali

Oh my goodness....she is so adorable. We just love our new little Puggle (mix between a Pug & a Beagle). She came to us so quickly, that I don't even believe that she is real!
A few days ago a friend of ours posted on Facebook that one of her clients had 6 week old Puggles that were almost ready to find homes. I instantly wrote her asking for specifics, as I've been wanting to get Cierra a dog for quite some time. There was just one more girl available, and so I thought that by the time I asked Kenny she may be spoken for.
Kenny actually agreed and so I asked our friend to let her client know we were interested. I didn't hear for a few days so I was sad, under the assumption that she had a new home already.
Yesterday afternoon I got a call from her saying that she was available and ready to go home!!! I made up a story to tell Cierra about me meeting someone who had Puggles and wanted some photographs taken of them. She immediately started asking me if she could get a Puggle someday....unbeknownst to her that she was about to meet her new little lady!!!! I snuck with the puppy around the truck and opened Cierra's door and said, "Cierra, meet your new puppy."

Now the moment that happened after this, I will never ever forget. The look on her face, the huge smile, the tears in her eyes. All she could say was, "What? Really?" Then a few minutes later she started crying and said, "Oh mama, I love you." Quite possibly one of my favorite moments ever.

Our first night with her, was like having a newborn in the house. Slept 3 hours, up for 1. Seems to be her routine. We'll get used to it, she is worth it!

Ocean Shores

I love this place! With prices so cheap cheap here, we really see ourselves getting a little cabin here someday. We went for a last minute trip to Ocean Shores for the day (2 weeks ago now) for our 13th wedding anniversary. 13 years! Woooozers, I can't believe how time has flown. It was a wonderful day, weather was so mild even the waves took a break from forming!
Here are my two loves!!

Wow time really does go by fast....when you're having a BLAST!

July is a BIG birthday month in my family, so that means a whole lotta celebrating! Cierra turned 10, & I turned 35 this month. Big big milestones.......so many pictures taken......I'll have to divide up the posts:)

Cierra's Birthday!

After her "park" birthday party last year, Cierra let me know (literally as we were packing up from the park) that that would be her last birthday at the park. It went a little something like this,
"Mama?"
"Yes honey?"
"This will be my last birthday at the park."
"Why? what do you mean?"
"I'm a little too old don't you think?"

Well that pretty much sums it up. She is too old for my little park birthdays.....too old for the little goody bags with the cheap plastic slinky and sunglasses.............too old for the princess cake.....
So we made a plan that day. Her birthday for her 10th, would be at Great Wolf Lodge. She could invite 2 friends and we would stay for 2 days:)

Fast forward one year later and we did it! Great Wolf Lodge was amazing!! Not only did Cierra have a blast, but Kenny & I had some of the best laughs we've ever had together!! Going down the Tornado was quite an experience. I thought we were going to flip......I still do not know how we didn't. The girls got to get chocolate facials and hand massages.....all in all it was a wonderful birthday party. One that we will never forget!
Here are some of the highlights!!
