It has been a blast getting prepared for this summer. I was too late last year to enter most of the local Arts & Crafts shows...so this year I vowed to get a jump on it early! I have the BEST dad & husband in the world....as they made me the coolest rack for my booth!! It is so AWESOME!! It folds in, so I can display it many different angles! Kenny also made me an A-frame rack for smaller prints:) Cierra was a big help in sanding......
I also finally went in to take a few photographs of my cards on sale @ Anderson's General Store. It means so much that they sell my work here, as I grew up on the island and know many of the locals:)
Exciting times folks!!
here you will find....my wonderful husband...my awesome daughter...my loving family...my amazing friends...photography...Dave Matthews...concerts...jalapenos...and me!

JoDee's Scrubs
Watch out world...here comes JoDee's Scrubs! My best friend has made body scrubs for years now, but is now selling them!!!
She offers a variety of different scents: Green Melon, Fresh Orange, Lavender, Lavender Mint, Coconut Lime, Spearmint, and Freesia Breeze.
Made from only three ingredients: pure soybean oil, essential oils, and pure cane sugar.
They are to die for folks....and they are only $7.50 for a 16 oz jar.
Shown below is JoDee & the Coconut Lime jar (my favorite!)
Just email me if you want more information or would like to purchase one of her scrubs.
The best part is that the jar is recyclable and you receive a discount when you return it back to her to have it refilled!!

Skagit Valley Tulip Contest
A friend of mine suggested that I enter the yearly contest for Skagit Valley Tulips. I honestly don't like contests for photography/art. Who is to say one piece of work is better than the others? All Art is beautiful:) urgggg......but....I gave in.
At first I was going to enter all picture perfect tulips. Perfect sky, perfect lighting, perfect tulip. After looking at the other entries though I changed my mind.....as that what was already showcased. So I pulled out my stormy ones from this year and entered those. (I did enter a "HAPPY tulip" too....couldn't resist!)
Voting doesn't start until May 1st, but I thought I'd give you a heads up since in order to vote you have to register @ their site:) click on the photographs to take you to the entry page.
Thanks friends & family for your support!
Entry #1 "HOLD ON TULIPS ITS WINDY OUTSIDE"
Entry #2 "THE TULIP DANCE"
Entry #3 "HAPPY TULIPS"

A BIG THANK YOU!!!
So I must write about it...because it meant so much to me. Networking has never been as important to a photographer than it is now. When I first started working at the studio in 1995, I could count on my two hands all of the photographers that I knew. Now my world is surrounded by them, and to find your little place in this world can be hard....... That is why THIS made my day in so many ways! So thank you to my dear friend Lisa and to the company she works for Janey Mac.

People....Places....and Tulips
I cannot believe that I'm about to admit that I may have overshot last week. Over 4500 photographs uploaded so far, and I have one memory card to go. (if I could find it) I just need to get past the organizing into folders and transferring to my hard drive before I can take a breath and relax a bit.....and go back to my REAL philosophy that "one can never take too many photographs."
Wish me luck.
Wish me luck.

My Little Photographer
Cierra took at least 500 pictures this week of the tulips. After transferring them to the hard drive and looking through them, I am noticing some very creative perspectives that are so unique and beautiful. She used one of my slrs to shoot, and wanted me make sure I took this photograph of her......looking off in the distance, camera around her neck. What an eye this little one has.........look out world!
Spring Break was AWESOME!
I am going to have to post our Spring Break Adventures in about 20 different listings! We had a wonderful time up on Guemes:) but first I think I will back up and share some of the awesome memories from when the Brower family came to visit........
It is so fun to be a tourist in your own town. It had been about a year since we visited the Seattle Center & Pikes Place. It never gets old. We even took Cierra out of school for the day so she wouldn't miss out!
Yes I stopped in the middle of the road to take this:)
View from our lunch window!
Yum Yum Yummy in my Tum Tum Tummy!!!
View from the Space Needle! It was windy and stormy out...but still so beautiful!
